You heard it here first – the imperative training team are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Safecontractor accreditation for our efforts to maintain a safe working environment.

Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors. Receiving the Safecontractor accreditation is a fantastic achievement that also signifies our continued hard work to adhere to health and safety guidelines covered in the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974.

Our CEO David Howarth commented: “We’re thrilled to have been awarded this Top Safety Accreditation from Safecontractor.

“To be recognised for our commitment to maintaining a high standard of health and safety for our employees is extremely flattering and one that we’re very proud to have been awarded.

“We invest in our employees and our success is a result of our attention to detail, passion and ability to provide world-class training all of which would not be possible without the commitment and hard work of our team. “

As a first aid training provider we place a great emphasis on maintaining welfare and consider the safety of our staff to be paramount. Consequently, we have a system in place to ensure that any potential risks are highlighted and removed; this can be anything from using a cable tidy to keep stray computer wires in check to ensuring that fire exists are free from obstruction. Combating potential risks not only prevents employees from injuring themselves but also contributes towards a more harmonious and stress-free workplace.

John Kinge, technical director of Safecontractor said, "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place."

"More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that imperative training has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.

Safecontractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
